WasH2O Haier

A recommendation by kayzee

The French are so out front with the carbon emissions reductions and the living lightly on the earth technology. Imagine trying to introduce a washer that doesnt use detergent in the U.S. -- the makers of Tide & Era would have a fit, and get congress to block it. And so we slide into global warming, everyone protecting their special interest.

Washing clothes without detergent? WasH20 Haier makes it happens. The technology consists in breaking water molecules into ions. OH- acts as detergent while, H+ sterilzes the clothes. This cutie is being sold in France for around €699.
