i love Tord Boontje's lighting/sculpture/art... i first saw it in a Vogue article about Gwenyth Paltrow's redone apartment and she had a giant one over a table and she was like "that was the first thing i bought... i built this whole room around it" and it is the kind of thing you could/would build a whole room around. i never thought to recommend stuff like this b/c i always thought since i could never afford it/don't own it, i shouldnt' recommend it... but since like tons of people recommended it and its like 20k (my deductive reasoning tells me NOT everyone recommending it owns one hahahha) i wanted to join in and add it to my apt list!

trying to kill good design is like trying to make it snow purple. this chandelier is just impeccable. definitely brings a whole new level of imagination to a room.
