What a novel idea, eh?

I've rediscovered this beauty. What is with the idea that we want to pay MORE for cleaning supplies (I've been guilty)? Does it make us feel more important?

Baking soda has to be one of the most versatile products in the grocery store. There are numerous websites devoted to accumulating lists and lists of uses. Insect bites, skin softener, diaper rash, heartburn, rids odor, make modeling clay, and clean almost every surface under the sun.

There's at least 500 uses for baking soda. How do I know? Theres a book that lists 500 uses for baking soda. Anyway, this item is a household staple thats been around forever. My grandma used this as a cure all for everything.
You can stick a box in the fridge to deodorize, use it under your arm pits as a non toxic deodorant, cook with it, clean with it, mix it with hydrogen peroxide to brush your teeth, mix it with vinegar to remove tough oven stains, ingest a spoonful if you have gas, etc, etc, etc. (via Amazon)
