A must have piece of hardware for a true cardboard construction worker, Mr. McGroovy's rivets securely hold cardboard together with a kid-safe snap fastening made of plastic. Rivets can be re-used although a rivet remover is recommended. Be sure to check out his project kits which include rivets, remover, a utility knife, and plans for either a kid-sized castle, pirate ship or set of knight's armor.

Check out this rivets for building castles, ships and more out of cardboard. Kids love building something so big and then get to crawl around in it with their friends. The beauty of these rivets is that you avoid using staples, glue, tape or any other materials that can be tricky around kids. The rivets are super cheep and the card board can be free if you use refrigerator boxes. (via mrmcgroovys.com)
