Mountainsmith Vibe II Lumbar Fanny Packs

Just the right size for me, as my bulging wallet has outgrown the pockets of most of my pants. The longest item that I need to tote around in a pocket is about 8.25" (and this pack is 9" long), and my pens and Moleskine notebook are about 5.25" (same as pack int.). The 2.5" depth means it can ride even the slimmest hips/waist. The separate front pocket lined with soft microfiber to protect most slim-styled sunglasses or an MP3 player and/or Razr-sized cellphone from getting scratched, complete with a protected pass-through for earbuds, is an extra-thoughtful touch. A specially lined and zippered pocket within the main section tightly protects your passport/IDs. The leash for the key fob in there works well, as it swivels in all directions without loosening up. All in all, a sturdy, well-designed little man-purse. For me, anyway. (via REI)
