This is a recommendation for people big enough to have teeth who clench them, like while playing computer games or doing stressful office work all day. I've been using these recently and I swear it's been helping my migraines, might help with tension headaches if they're brought on by clenching your teeth too. The glow in the dark handle just looks cool, even if you don't game in the dark. I find the newborn size a good fit, because unlike babies, we've actually got *teeth* in there taking up space, too, though with this shape, other sizes may fit as well. I've tried the toddler sized Nuk orthodontic ones, they're definitely shaped more for sucking than for biting, and far too small for adults. Also tried the new Gerber NaturalFlex, having a round cross-section, I find them a little too big to bite on. Silicone tastes far better than latex, I actually found latex making my tongue numb to boot! Get a two pack. That way, you can jam the other in your co-worker or partner's mouth to shut them up if they start laughing at you. If they're already used to you wearing a mouthguard while sleeping it might be less of an issue.

Pacifier for Everybody Wonderful you use a Avent pacifier playing computer games or doing stressfull office work. Gratulation. I do believe you, the pacifier can help by migrain or tension headaches. I know, pacifier have other positive qualitys beside your recommendations. Here some more: Should you wake up with sore throat in the morning, try to sleep with a pacifier, (not to small) your throat will not dry up and you will feel better again. Works with myself perfect. Sleeping with a pacifier, could stop snoring at night. It does work, but not everybody will have the same sucess. Or why not using a pacifier, instead of lighting up a cigarette, pipr or cigar? I know people, where this method works and I heard about it. They stopped smocking or reduced it.. Or just relax with a pacifier, you can feel wonderful by sucking on the rubber or silikon teat. Iam using pacifier for many years for relaxing, sore throat, sleeping much better with it or just for fun. tul_sto@yahoo.com

My wife has always used a pacifier when she's stressed or tired and when we go to bed, as I sometimes wake up with a sore throat so she suggested I use one, she now buys for both of us. It has helped the two of us although I wouldn't use one in front of anyone one else, my mother in law knows I use one, she sometimes teases me but I don't mind.

I've never tried Avent pacifiers. I mostly used Playtex and Gerber//NUK BUT Pampers has a great one piece pacifier that fits in my mouth with great comfort.

my wife and I both use Avent nighttime pacifier, it cuts down on sore throats and snoring, so gives us both a good nights sleep, sometimes when watching the tv we put in our pacifiers as they also help to relax us. We live with my mother-in-law and she doesnt mind us having them, we are trying to persuade her to use one, as she complains of sore throats after a sleep.
