What do you do when you want to make a handbag statement without copying an Olsen twin? According to Hollywood’s hippest, you reach for a Coach Legacy. These bags are their highest-end, made with butter-soft leather and crafted like a fashion line, with different looks in the same theme. This year’s crop comes in rich tobacco browns, with shots of white, pale blue and black, and offers a style for every starlet - Teri Hatcher likes the white stuff, while Vanessa Minillo matches her brown Legacy bag to her boots.
These bags aren’t cheap (online offerings range from $250 to $800), but the style is just distinctive enough to add a punch of panache to your wardrobe, and the lines are classic enough that you’ll get plenty of wear out of these little splurges.
