This game is supposed to be brilliant/revolutionary/everything else. All I keep hearing about is Bioshock's new revolutionary level layout system - prepopulated maps with AI that lets your enemies roam freely. No two games will ever be played the same way. I think this AI in all our games would be welcomed. That way I can just keep playing Halo 3 and not memorize where the White Elite shows up.

It's like nothing I've ever played before. The action is intense, the story is thrilling, and its actually scary. Most "horror" games or movies just have gore or zombies, but this game actually gets into your mind. Worth twice what I payed for it.

This is definitely not a game you want to miss. Possibly the best Single Player First Person Shooter experience you'll ever play.

This game has super creepy and suspenseful elements. It is a great first person shooter with some new cool elements. Your character being able to be a weapon with the use of plasmids rocks.

Even though the Nintendo Wii is sweet, this game is by far sweeter, or the most sweet. If you have an Xbox 360, this is a must play. The only drawback is that it doesn't include any multiplayer at all, and that is lame. 9.75/10

This game is simply amazing, its graphics are unbelievable and it definitely shows the potential for this next gen-console, and all the power packed inside the 360. But beyond the visuals which are simply captivating, the story line is of one of the best I've come across in quite a while. With many twists and turns and well written dialogue, this game will keep you on the edge of your seat as you navigate through some of the most spectacular virtual environments you will ever encounter, with an array of immersive and dazzling stages and terrain, all aesthetically appeasing and simply radiant, with the mammoth technical capabilities that the 360 offers , you simply can't afford to miss this game! With that said, this game is simply amazing and I highly recommend it, but not just to "hard core" gamers, but to the average gamer alike, because this game offers a simple yet breathtaking story and atmosphere, and you can purchase it online now

this is the new first person adventure/shooter game made by 2K Boston/2K Australia (previously known as Irrational Games) and the developers behind the amazing and genre bending adventure/survival-horror/shooter game System Shock 2. this will be a cool game because it will take story-telling to a new level with immersible environments, beautiful visuals, solid game play elements, and incredible music/sound design. can't wait to play it!!

Bioshock is proof that good shooters CAN have a decent plot. One of the top games of 2007.

I have always viewed gaming as a the new media of story telling. Bioshock succeeds in meeting this expectation and more. The game takes the gamer through a complex and intriguing story line with great pacing and wonderful graphics. It even tests your ethics and values. The controls in the game is your standard FPS with the dual sticks being used for movement and sight. I can't really say too much without spoiling the experience. The game needs to be played through without guides. Just play and you will see what I am writing about regarding this game and how it is a great example of how video games truly are taking over as the next story telling medium.

Bioshock is easily the best single player, first person shooter I've ever played. I've never been into mlutiplayer, so Bioshock might even edge out Halo 3 for the best first person shooter of al time imho. Original story, gorgeous animation, and a super rich sound layer- Bioshock is a complete package.

Was playing this with the BF and I must say it was loads of fun to sit back and just watch him play. Really the graphics and story like are THAT good. But once I did get my hands on it, it was a lot of fun as well. A must have for any gamer.

Universal and Gore Verbinski are going into “Bioshock.” Studio has signed a deal to turn last year’s hit videogame, which won numerous awards and sold more than 2 million units worldwide, into a film. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” helmer is attached to direct and produce. “Aviator” scribe John Logan is in talks to pen the screenplay. “Bioshock” publisher Take-Two Interactive is getting a multimillion-dollar advance against gross points on the pic. It’s believed to be the biggest videogame-to-movie deal since 2005, when U and Fox signed onto the since aborted “Halo” pic, for which Microsoft got $5 million against 10%. Take-Two executive chairman Strauss Zelnick said the “state of the art” deal is structured so that “Bioshock” won’t end up in turnaround like “Halo,” which is back with Microsoft.

Not being the most die-hard FPS fan, I honestly was not sure what to expect with Bioshock. I was shocked (pardon the pun) that I found myself playing this game into the wee hours of the morning the first time I picked it up. This game has a 5 star rating IMO, in spite of it being a 2007 hit, I believe it still remains probably the best, or one of the best games today in the genre. Graphics are superb, and really draw you into being paranoid with the dark, gloomy environments. coupled with the wonderful immersive sound (I used headphones with my video game chair) You always feel something could jump out at you, and they do that constantly! More than a few times I found myself virtually out of breath running away and/or trying to kill the genetically-modified monsters... The story telling is probably the most interesting I've come across in a long time in a video game. The narrative is told in such a great way, with sound clips you pick up from different items, each part spoken by another character of the unfolding and creepy story. Most games I skip a lot of what would normally be boring storyline but not so with bioshock. It is all very interesting, albeit disturbing beyond imagination... its a book you can't put dow n

A truly scary video game with great graphics. Don't play this one in the dark if you are a jumpy person. This game is pretty disturbing, but that's part of the fun.
