Burton Jeremy Jones 159 EST Snowboard
Description
I got this board a week before I traveled out to Mt Baker.
As a funny joke, my friends stickered it before my arrival (at like 1am to Glacier). They had all sorts of ugly stickers on it. Needless to say it took me about a 1/2 hour to get them off and put on the appropriate diecuts.
As you all know, I think EST rules. The retro compatible discs IMO though don't seem as sturdy as the actual EST set up. I mounted my board no problem and was ready to rock and roll. From the condo, the graphics on the board look sick. The black with the pink is just amazing. And there's so much detail in the base graphic.
After one run, my back binding came loose (as Shaka said). I rethreaded the screw and tightened it again. It never came loose again.
The board rocks! I was worried that it would be a total noodle, but it was super fun. The tip and tail kicks are perfect for the park and for really soft snow. The conditions at Baker were super variable from hard hard snow pack to slushy soft snow. It performed well. The extra length really let me crank on this board without much fear.
And of course it has some nice pop for ollieing and performed like a champ in the kiddie park. I'm excited to take it back east and see how it performs.
The EST let me get my exact stance. And it was super easy to set my stance back slightly after the first day. Effortless.
I'm really excited to put a pair of EST bindings on this bad boy. Crap. This board is not compatible with EST bindings. That sucks. So disappointed about that, but....
I still really am digging this board. Not sure if it's the right board for you, but I'm really happy with it.
I think it's a great edition to my quiver.
