I loved the Libertines and was sad when they broke up. It made sense, but was too bad. I was psyched to hear that Carl Barat was going to keep playing with a new band. It's a shame that DPT doesn't get the same exposure as Pete Doherty's band, Babyshambles, as musically, I think they're much tighter. The songs are similar in sound to the Libertines: tight, rocking, fast-paced. Good solid album, and the follow-up is expected to be released in June

british rock at it's best, Barat separates his music from the Libertines giving it a more rough and raw cut round the edges. Interesting how the songs seem to reflect the paine the split caused him. It's a shame lot's of people only know Bang bang you're dead, because they have some seriously killing tracks on this record. Underated band.
