I think Television Without Pity put it best when they said that America has had a weird love affair and obsession with Japan since the mid eighties. One of the latest things to come over is the Lolita trend. Not Lolita like the book, but a return to prim, proper and innocence. It's just plain fun. I like to have a handful of items in my wardrobe to work into daily wear, or to go all out every so often. A dress like this is nice, because if you remove the detachable bows it's a decent summer dress, but paired with the appropriate items it can also go full out Lolita
