The book that launched a thousand knitters circles. It kind of made knitting cool again and at the very least gave people a fun way to introduce others into the knitters way of life. After all, why can't knitting be fun?

Great illustrations for learning - you can definitely teach yourself to knit with this book. This plus yarn and a set of needles would be the perfect gift for a friend who wants to learn.

When I went on my knitting kick a few years back this book was very helpful. Teaches knitting is a very simple way and has some great projects too. I highly recommend this one. (via merlfish)
