I hate musicals but I loved Across the Universe. In fact, I loved it so much that I snagged the soundtrack to it. Its a really great double disc set that you should probably own, especially if you liked the movie.

I' ve seen the movie, and thought is was okay. But I really like the soundtrack. I love Joe Cocker's version of "Come Together". On the downside, this version of the soundtrack doesn't include "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?", which is one of my favorite Beatles songs.

The return of the classics, as sung by somebody else. The movie was amazing, but it wouldn't have been such a hit without the composer and artists who brought a different twist on the original gems. The Deluxe Edition features new tracks not heard in the film.

Beatles tunes form the backbone of Julie Taymore's movie. The soundtrack features many great Beatles tunes, covered by a wide cast of characters. The leads take on a lot of the singing duties, but there are great guest artists as well, including Bono among others. A great soundtrack to an interesting movie.

A (near) perfect way to being the Beatles to this generation. Be sure to get the Deluxe Edition as its the only one that actually has every song from the movie.
