Raichle Flexon Comp Ski Boots

Raichle Flexon Comp Ski Boots - Photo

My boots of choice. Funny since they are not made anymore. I have a few new pairs in my closet and some old ones and parts to last for years. When my supply runs out, I retire. K2 bought the molds. Hopefully they will make them someday.

Dalbello I believe purchased the patent and now makes the Krypton and El Moro with the same three piece design. They've had it out for about 3 years I believe. I just picked up a pair.

I still ski in the olde Raichle Yellow Comp boots from the early 1990's. Best boot I have skied in since 1959 ! Need new heel plates. Anyone know where I can buy the heel plate parts ? Once these olde Yellow Comp boots die, I'll repace them with the new model, but make them yellow !

I haven't skiied in many years and someone gave me a pair of read and black Raichles. I'm embarrassed that I don't know how to unfasten the buckles in order to put them on. There are 2 types of buckles. One are easy to unfasten. I'm wondering if the other requires some sort of tool to undo. My city has just had a blizzard and there are 3 1/2 feet of snow against my back door and I can't even get out. Front door I can get out through, fortunately. But I want to go skiing down my street a.s.a.p. so I would be very grateful for information.

Hey, someone else who loves the old Raichle comps! Mine date from the 1980s - big red beasts. Still solid, but the inner boots are getting a bit sketchy. Get the modern re-incarnation from www.fulltiltboots.com

To rrray: K2 will start selling the boots next season. I saw the first models this year in ISPO exhibition in Munchen, Germany.

I've just replaced my hot pink with yellow buckle Flexon comp's from the early 90's with the Dalbello kryptons which use the same tongue system. If I'd known I would have waited for the Raichle's!!! the krypton's are made on the same last I believe, so they fit just as well, but there's something about that raichle look :D

I purchased my Raichle Flexon Comps around 1984. I loved those boots. I skied in them for 22 years. In 2006 after a great day of skiing, I was walking through the lodge carrying my boots by looping my finger through the buckle-wire. Suddenly I felt the load get a bit lighter. I looked back and saw my beloved boots laying on the floor, the plastic cuff had split all the way around. They were beyond repair. I'm thrilled to hear they're back in production!

I have a pair of black and yellow ones size 12 bought back in 1988. I think it would be lucky if they were used 30 times. If you interested preefty@hotmail.com cheers Andy

I have over 230 days on my third pair of Raichle Flexons. I got them new in 2004 at SNIAGARB in Denver for $50 (and they look it: black and green wiih purple and pink buckles!). I might demo some Dalballos, but I'd prefer to get the real deal.
