I knew it would come to this. Mark my words, the day will come when you can't say "I'm loving it" (not that you would) without getting sued by McDonalds. "Away for the weekend" is already taken by Three Rivers Press so scratch that.
Apparently T-Mobile (Deutsche Telekom in Germany) has taken the color Magenta and gone out and copyrighted it. COPYRIGHTED IT. Designers, in particular, are horrified by this move - what will the 'M' in CMYK stand for?
Let the world know you stand behind Magenta, and will proudly use, defend, and die for it, if necessary. Freemagenta.nl sells a wonderful T-shirt with the letters 'C YK' on front; the M is ominously missing. It comes on either a simple white tee, as if mourning this loss, or a proud, angry, by-god Magenta color, as a nice "screw you" to T-Mobile. It makes a great gift for any designer or an obsessive quizzical T-shirt collector.
They also have a great book compiling some very funny graphic designs and cartoons commenting on the loss of this invaluable color. Visit the site.

I can't believe i never heard about this! It's entirely insane, at this rate, in ten years we will be living in a world of monochrome advertisements! I've always thought t-shirts were the best way to support a cause; they were non-violent, and, hey, even if it didn't totally get her off the hook, it worked for Winona!
