July of 2009, OPI came out with a collection of matte-finish nail polishes. OPI recommends that the polishes not be worn with a base coat or a top coat so they stay true to the look. The 6 colors included in the collection are: Alpine Snow, You Don't Know Jacques!, Russian Navy, La Paz-itively Hot, Lincoln Park After Dark, and Gargantuan Green Grape. All of these colors are popular colors with a "normal" finish by OPI, so it is interesting to see what the shades look like without the shine. It should also be noted that these nail polishes are meant for a day out because they really don't last that long before they start to chip, and without a base coat your nails may get stained (especially on the darker colors).
