Yet another show that Fox cancelled, only 4 episodes were aired. However, thirteen episodes had been filmed and the remaining nine eps can be seen here for the first time.

Wonderfalls comes from Tim Minear, who wrote, executive-produced, and directed episodes of this show as well as Angel, Firefly, X Files, and now Drive. Wonderfalls revolves around a girl names Jaye, a recent grad of Brown. She lives in a trailer and works at a touristy gift shop called Wonderfalls in Niagara Falls. Everything in her life is going fine until inanimate objects start talking to her. These inanimate objects instruct her to help out total strangers, which she does reluctantly to make the voices stop. Part comedy and part drama, the cast is superb and the writing equally as good.

God this show is brilliant. Too bad Fox didn't give it a chance.

"I guess I thought if I could just get my sister laid the little wax lion might just shut up." "The wax lion wanted your sister to have sex?" "I'm assuming." "Does the little wax lion ever tell you to burn things or hurt people?" "I bet he's working up to that..."

"Have you been huffing puff paint? Because this just isn't like you." "What do you mean, 'like me?' There is no 'like me.' I'm not 'like anything' and if I were, it certainly wouldn't be me." "Why are you doing this?" "I don't have a choice; I'm a puppet. The universe just sticks its hand up my butt, and if I don't dance, people get hurt!"

"You may be the universe's butt-puppet, but I'm its right-hand fist of fate. And tonight... accounts are comin' due."

Another great series cut short by FOX!

This is by the same creator as "Dead Like Me" and "Pushing Daisies."

Cute, quirky, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Another sadly short lived Fox series that was canceled mid-way through it's first season. The series DVD's contain all 13 episodes, including 9 that never aired. This wonderfully quirky and whimsical show follows twenty-something, slacker Jaye, a part time employee at a Niagra Falls, New York souvenir shop-much to the chagrine of her overacheiving parents and siblings. She inexplicably begins to hear the voices of inanimate objects around her. They instruct her to help out total strangers, and to get them to shut up, she complies.

The series ends rather abruptly, and for the most part satisfactorily. But as with a lot of shows that end suddenly, you're left with the impression that it's a season end, rather than a series end. With an all-around likable cast and lighthearted story, it's nonetheless worth the watch.
