Angeline 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley (Martin Ray)
They say, "Tasting Notes - This wine has a deep garnet hue and aromas of lush fruit: black cherry, cassis and vanilla. The rich black cherry and plum flavors are layered with hints of vanilla, creamy oak and cassis that linger on the palate. The finish is smooth and satisfying, with soft tannins complementing the intense fruit." I say, "A nice wine, went well with my dinner of salad and home made truffled potato chips. At $12.99 I'd totally buy this again, but it's more of an everyday wine." I suspect the Penthouse wasn't thrilled with us for bringing our own but their wine list is so unreliable and odd that I didn't want to chance it.
