As both a parent and a fitness professional, this topic is something that I feel very strongly about. We all want our children to be healthy, and live a healthy lifestyle. However, approaching and teaching that topic in a positive manner can be extremely difficult. This book is able to do that.
The book is able to express important health themes, in an easy to read manner. It is designed to help overweight kids make the shift to a healthier lifestyle. But, it's not just for overweight or obese kids.
Those who are not overweight, are motivated to continue making healthy lifestyle choices. In addition, they are better able to understand the struggles of those children who do have to battle with a weight problem.
The book comes in a boys edition and a girls edition. And there are editions for children ages 7-14 and for kids 6 and under.
Parents, I can't encourage you enough to read this with your kids. It will not only change their life, but yours as well.
