Would I drive 8 hours to get free samples of this chocolate? Why yes I would. It tastes lovely...especially after dinner with a little port and good cheese. (They can ship it pretty quick if you are having a chocolate emergency.)

I L-O-V-E this chocolate. Plus, they open their factory in NYC up to the public on Fridays to sample the products. From the site: "We start with sustainably grown, pesticide-free cocoa beans and sweeten them only enough to enhance their rich, distinctive flavor. Refusing to use large amounts of sugar, chemical preservatives or artificial ingredients allows us to present chocolate in its purest form."

Chocolate that is not only good but good for you! They could give "an apple a day" a run for their money. This "candy" is chock full of antioxidants, fiber, natural sweetners, and less sugar than the aforemenitoned apple! Vere is latin for real or authentic, which is something the owners really wanted to focus on with their product.

I don't know how many other food products you could share with a vegan, diabetic, or child. Plus the chocolate is made using organic ingredients, sustainable materials, and fair wages are paid to their works who harvest the coco beans. Vere chocolate is very good! (via Arcadia Maximo)
