Excellent device that was easy to setup with my Charter Pipeline connection. Was replacing a D-Link Router I previously was using since it died on me. AT the time I had a basic wireless G router and when I replaced it I felt it was time for me to get the strongest G router out there. Hence my decision to get a MIMO version.

For those not really familiar with Wifi networks in a nutshell the most basic that is used by people is WIFI G. There are other networks (a/b/n) and eventually the WIFI N networks will be replacing the popular G but not for sometime.

WIFI A = networks are more catered towards business and they are expensive. They also are more catered towards computers on the same network to share files. Been around 9 years.

WIFI B= networks that were first introduced for wireless connectivity for personal households around 9 years ago.

WIFI G= networks that replaced the WIFI B networks which improved on the speed and strength of the signal for wireless use for homes and businesses. There are three different types of G networks (Basic= Wireless G, Medium= Super G, Strongest= MIMO G) MIMO stands for (multiple-input and multiple-output). Been around since 2003.

WIFI N= networks that are considered next generation and are catered towards those who simply want the fastest speed possible. This is more ideal for those who want to stream High Definition, serious game playing, and also share files from other computers on the same network. It's like getting WIFI A and MIMO G all wrapped up with a big ass booster shot.

Well anyway I decided to go with this particular router because it was the best thing for me since my main desktop where my router is connected was NOT capable of dealing with a WIFI N connection. With this particular router it was the step right below it. It is called a MIMO G router. Best signal possible, very good for continuous game play ( I have a xbox 360 and will soon aquire a Nintendo Wii and PS3 to my collection), and I can have multiple other devices on my network and I don't lag on any other connections.

What's really funny is that my neighbor who lives across the street from me came into my partime job and joked that she was able to pick up my signal with no problem and she reading at least 3 bars with her laptop. Talk about being impressed.....I'm glad I have an encryption code on my network.

Anyway Excellent product, I highly recommend;)
