We really liked this movie in which a visiting city reporter's assignment suddenly revolves around the murder trial of a local millionaire, whom he befriends.

The film stars John Cusack as John Kelso, Kevin Spacey as James 'Jim' Williams, Jack Thompson as Sonny Seiler, IIrma P. Hall as Minerva and Jude Law as Billy Carl Hanson.

I could not take my eyes off Kevin Spacey who turns in a mesmerizing performance in this slow-paced and carefully balanced story set in the suffocating world of a Southern Gothic Savannah. .

I call this my "nesting" movie, as I love to watch it in the fall, with the scents of dinner wafting from my crockpot...
