I finally saw one of these in action at a conference I went to and I think it would be perfect for me. My note taking style is to just jot a word or phrase to help me remember what was said, which unfortunately doesn't always work.

I do wonder if its cool to be recording others in the room without their permission, but also the like the "spy" aspect of that in a very childish way :-)

Record a seminar and take notes separately. A pen, a recorder, a computer. I just watched a vid on YouTube where the pen was used to translate words into various languages - you just write them on a pad and the computer tells you the translation.
