Sigh. I'm a sci fi head and I grew up on the classic Star Trek and TNG. So, as much as I don't want to see the new Star Trek movie, I will. I can make a list of over a dozen things wrong with this movie starting with the countless cliches evident in the trailer. At least the special effects should pay off but don't expect much more. This movie will get my money and I will kick myself for spending the 12 bucks. (via Apple)

Even though it had a very different feel than the original series, I loved this movie. All of the elements of a good star trek flick were there... heart-pounding action, suspense, unexpected twists involving the space-time continuum. I'd expect nothing less from a film directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias). Here's hoping they make more like this.
