The butter wizard is a great product WHEN IT WORKS. I know, because I've had two of them. After several months, the first one started running extremely hot, then quit working. I thought it was a fluke, so I bought another one. Unfortunately, that began running very hot a few months later then abruptly died.

The Butter Wizard is a superb idea that needs improved reliability. Until then, I cannot recommend it.

My whole family absolutely loves the Butterwizard. We have the stainless/black combination and it goes really well with the other kitchen appliances. This is so easy to use. Just plug it in and put the butter in the tray. Butter is always ready to spread. No more ripped bread or taking the butter out an hour before serving. It is always ready to go. We love it so much, that we gave it to friends and family as gifts.
