This kinetic lamp opens and closes with the heat of the light bulb. "Hanabi" the Japanese word for "fireworks" literally means "flower + fire."

What an ingenious design. The laser-cut sheet metal create petals that bloom with heat and closes when petals cool. I dream of having 10 of these on my ceiling (with very dim bulb in each). Imagine a sea of flowers opening when the light is turned on. Wow.

This light is so weird it is fabulous! As the metal heats up from the light bulb it expands like a flower.
