I saw this for the first time this year on AMC and thought it was beautifully done. I only wish the DVD didn't cost so much.

To Sir, With Love is my favorite film because its the first film I ever saw as a small child. It is indeed a classic. Sydney Poitier portrays a teacher who must teach at a London school where the kids are less than stellar students. Miraculously he finds a way to get through to them. (via Netflix)

This is the original dangerous minds. Portier is a new teacher in a British school who must throw conventional teaching methods out the window in order to get through to his rowdy students. (via Amazon)
