You have to laugh when you read about cow's typing and how infuriating their demands are to Farmer Brown. Betsy Lewin's illustrations are lush, colorful and curvaceous. This book offers characters of diverse backgrounds that it is easy to have good, distinct voices for Farmer Brown and for the notes from the cows and Duck.
The sequel "Giggle Giggle Quack" is worth a read as well but is not quite as good as the original. It is about Farmer Brown taking a vacation and Duck having fun with Farmer Brown's brother who is watching the farm and the animals.
