Finally! Two years ago, my friend and I were discussing how we should have our doorbells connected to our ipod or computer, so we can play music instead of the ding-dong when guests arrive. Could be problematic if you're having a party and there's music going - but we thought of that too - lights! (That will have to be another post when it gets invented.)

I'm so psyched about this! Even though it's only 30 seconds of downloads, it's long enough for me to play "You can ring my bell... Ring my bell.. my bell...." (Yes, tacky, isn't it? And great!)

On our cell phones we have custom ringtones, so why shouldn't our doorbells as well? Sorry, "Ding-Dong" - is out!

The Re-Bell USB Doorbell is a very cool new doorbell that replaces your old one and also connects to your PC via USB to allow you to add your favorite sound effects, music, audio clips, movie quotes or whatever 9up to 30 seconds), whenever you want. The Re-Bell USB Doorbell then simply re-attaches to your existing doorbell wiring and it's ready for the doorbell button to be pushed. (via The Green Head)

Being able to have my door yell 'ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME!' and 'Do you feel lucky punk? well do ya?' is all the convincing I need to get one of these.

An interesting device which replaces the boring chimes or buzzing of regular door bells with whatever MP3 file of your choice. Now you can be greet your guests with the Star Wars theme song or the Star Trek introduction.

Hmm... quite good doorbell but I got a better one from kakadu-usa.com. Except for the USB port and MP3 support there are 50 amazing sounds. The quality is pretty good and dog barking, my favorite tone, sounds like a real dog! (via Bruce B.)
