I'm probably on a watchlist now, between this book and Persepholis. This is a meaty book, and one that requires your full attention. That said, the prose is simple and fluid, but it doesn't talk down to the uninitiated, either.

When I went to journalism school, this is who I wanted to be when I grew up. Maybe there's still a chance. But in the meantime, live a foriegn correspondent's life vicariously.

This is a great read.
