Coffee makers are pretty boring looking. Just hunks of white plastic that are subjected to abuse every day as you make your morning brew, and then leave them to be washed hours (days?) later.

However, if you have one of these sleek babies sitting on your counter, you'll be sure to lovingly wash and wax it every day. It's sexy, functional, and can also keep you awake all day. Oh yes, it makes espresso too. Vroom! (via Gizmodo)

I've had this orange machine since it was first introduced to the U.S. market 10 years ago. It was such a fresh design to the market then, and I think it is still appreciated by many now. I must admit, though, I love the style more so than the espresso it makes (Shame on me!)

After all those years spent working in restaurants, the one thing I realized that I missed when I opened my wine shop was the convenience of having an espresso machine at hand. I got a great deal on mine through Illy, and I use their convenient pods. My girlfriend drinks Americanos, and I can foam up a pretty good cappucino with it, too. Consistent, reliable, easy to use and to clean.
