For the true wine connoisseur. This personal winery can make up to four cases of wine. The whole process takes place within the stainless steel chamber and prompts you when it requires human intervention. The personal winery includes everything you need to be the wine pimp of your neighborhood. (via UberReview)

I make non-grape wines from elderberries, blackberries, rose hips, dandelions, clover flowers, and more. This looks like an easy way to try grape wine making.

The WinePod is a completely automated and self-contained home winery that monitors and controls the entire winemaking process. Shaped almost like a wine glass itself, the sleek 4-foot tall brushed stainless steel chamber with white oak accents has the technology inside to cold soak, press, ferment and age up to four cases of wine right in your very own home, with no experience required. At the same time, it is also wirelessly communicating with your PC to the included winemaking software that uses the data to offer professional recommendations and techniques. You can also join the WinePod Community online where you can customize your dashboard to monitor and share your results, upload videos, order grapes, get labels and simply share and engage with other winemakers. This truly is the ultimate gift for any wine-lover. (via The Green Head)

Winepod: Wine Geek Meets, Well, Geek
Forget the bucolic scene of the wizened old French winemaker with his dusty beret, stubble on his chin, and a cigarette plugged into the corner of his mouth. Think of what a child of R2D2 and your Sub-Zero refrigerator would be like. Well, it would be like a WinePod.
The Wine Geek Part
The WinePod people tell us that, “The WinePod is a state-of-the-art tool for small lot artisan winemaking. The WinePod integrates fermentation, pressing, and ageing in one elegant unit yet it is simple and easy to use. The WinePod controls the heat of fermentation and maintains appropriate ageing temperature using electronically controlled thermoelectric heating and cooling. Your wine ferments and ages in a variable-capacity stainless steel tank with an integrated wine press.” More at: (via dancingspoon.com)

Make your own wine with this high-tech softwarized winepod. It handles the fermenting and aging for you, plus it looks like you've got a cryogenic freezing pod stuck in your corner. Secretly, you're planning on releasing your own label, and this is the secret weapon you need in your arsenal. (via Thrillist)

The WinePod's a computer-equipped, two-foot-high metal egg/vineyard that yields up to six cases per batch. Any grape will do, but if you buy from ProVina you can watch your fruit ripen on the vine on their Vineyard-Cam. Fermentation time depends on the varietal: Beaujolais can take four months, certain Cabernets up to a year. But if you've the money to buy this, you've probably got the time to wait.
