Christmas at the White House by Jennifer Pickens
I love this book because of all the amazing historic pictures of the first families at Christmas and the gorgeous rooms. There are literally hundreds of photos, and you can see the transition from the simple way the White House was decorated during the Kennedy years, up to the more detailed and lavish way the George W. Bushes decorated. The author recounts all kinds of fascinating stories told to her by either the first ladies themselves, their families, or people who worked inside the White House. She really did her research.
