Description

The gomboc is a mathematical shape discovered recently that always ends up right-side up. What makes it different from an egg? I'm not sure; you'll have to ask the mathematicians. But if you can read Polish (?), you can purchase your very own gomboc for 1000 Euros. A small price to pay for self-righteousness. (via New York Times Magazine)

TOTAL blonde moment when I glanced at this. Thought it was a shellacked Yoplait yogurt piece of foil. Disturbingly, that misconception is what drew me to it. Then read the description, realized I'm a dork and that it is COOL! And happen to have offspring who speak Polish. All that's missing is the 1000 Eu. But great choice- very unique. And if you ever see a shellacked yogurt lid.... Never mind. Don't tell me. I probably don't need it.
