First to recommend
Shortly after the Great Depression hit, merchant marine Charles H. Beckley purchased the O.D. Baker Company in Boston, keeping it afloat with a West Point contract. Decades later, the company is now run by Beckley’s two great-nephews, Tim and Ted Marschke, and specializes in hand-stitched mattresses made on the factory’s original machines. Filler options include horsehair (the best seller), cotton and synthetic fibers. Every mattress is made to order, and dimensions can be customized. If desired, Beckley will cover a mattress and box spring in a customer’s own material. Available through Beckley’s Manhattan showroom. Trade only. (via Elements of Living)

For the master bedroom I recommend any bed by Charles Beckley. They have been in the business for many years and have continued to maintain their long-standing reputation for high-quality mattresses and beds. (via Elements of Living)
