This portable battery powered generator is a powerhouse. Can recharge from solar panel, AC, and auto dc adaptor. It can power a small tv for several hours a radio for days
a refrigerator for a couple hours. Had a power outage for several hours, ran a TV, coffee pot, lamp. No problem

It was a pleasant surprise to find that the wheels have rubber rather than (noisy) plastic treads. If your the do it yourself type, you can beef up your supply time's by simply adding additional batteries.

I keep the battery connected to solar panels which keep it charged up during the day. The inverter has lots of power for power tools and I can connect a big load to the system like a skill saw during the day and it pulls charge off the battery while the load is running and the battery recovers from the solar charge after several minutes.

All-in-all this is a very flexible system for around the house to keep tv on and the refrigerator running when the power goes off. Outstanding product!! (via Bright Ibeawuchi)
