My favorite of the three Shins records; I love every song dearly. I listened to "Chutes Too Narrow" so much when it first came out that it's nearly impossibly to put it on now without slipping into this weird, slightly dangerous nostalgia coma. "Turn A Square" totally kills me every time.

...It's their third studio album, but second relevant. Thanks to the amazingly unique voice of James Mercer, it's in contention for one of my favorite albums.

The Shins are the first truly new sound I've heard in ages. Check out Chutes Too Narrow if youre looking for a funky type of pop/rock/alternative (It's hard to really define them) with great lyrics.
