I used to buy the Diamond Krystal Kosher salt, but recently, have not been able to find it. For some reason, it seemed wrong to buy Morton's Coarse Kosher salt (it just didn't seem "kosher" enough) but Morton's was my only option at the store, so I bought it.

Well! Who knew Morton's would taste the same?!?!

It's salt, for Pete's sake, and when I'm only using it to brine a bird, the "big" brand is fine with me.

i always have a box of this in my cupboard. I used to cook a lot more than I do these days, but coarse Kosher Salt offers one a lot of versatility in cooking. It's handy for those larger jobs, like turkeys, stews and preparing fancy items such as salt-encrusted chickens. You can also use it to top off homemade bread doughs, to line drinking glasses and many other things I'm spacing on right now. Look up some recipes when you are feeling creative. You will be surprised at how many things call for it.
