I don't recommend having dispenser-style food bowls for dogs, because they will (or, at least mine will) overeat to the point where they just balloon up like Oprah Winfrey in between liposuction appointments.
However, I do think having a lot of filtered water "on tap," as it were, for dogs is a great idea. This reservoir aerates your dog's water and only needs to be filled a few times a week (less if you get a larger reservoir, available at the same site).
