I always wanted to be an astronaut; we ALL did, and the next best thing to going out in space - or a least those cool space camps with Zero Gravity Simulators - is EATING like an astronaut... you know you love that freeze dried yumminess!

This is a terrifically fun (and cheap!) novelty for young kids.

My kids would LOVE eating this while we're studying about the solar system...or even, different occupations! I could find a way to work in ice cream ;)

Need some space? Freeze dried packed snacks - just like they eat on the moon. As you eat, your mouth re-hydrates the food. Plus, this stuff keeps for years in all sorts of temperatures.
I got this for my cousin last Christmas.
He's an outdoors-y type and loves to go hunting and camping. He loved it. $6

A good treat to serve at your space themed party! Its not as good as real ice cream though. (via amazon.com)

My kids love this yummy freeze-dried treat. Comes in several different flavors. It's the tastiest astronomy lesson you'll ever have.

In the 80's it was ok to be a space geek (maybe it still is - who knows) and I loved all things NASA and space-y. I always wanted to try out astronaut ice cream but never knew where to buy it. I have some coming to me in the mail right now and will update as soon as I get a taste.

delicious...and not cold. which would be scary but there's something comforting about ice cream...in any form.
