You think you've got the chops to make the the ultimate Valentines Day mixed tape for that special someone? Well, in the geek world it's not put on a CD or recorded over your dad Barry Manilow cassette.

... It's put on a USB and packaged as an old school cassette tape.

Brings the handmade aesthetic back into making a mixtape. Retro modern and fabulous. I'd love to give or receive one of these. (via Apartment Therapy)

On this Valentines Day the girlfriend that I don't have will spend hours carefully composing the ultimate mixed tape. If this was more than a fantasy, she'd debate the song order and try hard to find tunes particularly meaningful, but also catch and things I'd never heard. Naturally, she'd fail at this, but i'd applaud the effort and appreciate the savvy that is a mixed tape on a usb,

Remember in the days before digital music and MP3 players? If you do, then you probably made compilations of all your favorite music, to share with your friends and loved ones, on good old fashioned blank cassette tapes. If you miss making mix tapes this product will inspire you again! The 64USB USB stick holds up to 1 hour of music, and fits perfectly into this awesome "mix tape" to give as the gift that keeps on giving. (via Delight store)

Mix tape v. 3.0. First tapes, then CDs, now USBs. Yes, USB.

It may look like a cassette. However, it's actually a flash drive that you can upload with beau coups of music and give it to that special someone.
