Screen legend Marlene Dietrich was a master at making herself look perfect on-screen - she controlled her lighting on-set, designed many of her own costumes and did her own make-up. Watch one of her films to see how impeccable she always looked - her face sultry, glowing, flawless. She would have loved High Beam by Benefit. Don't be put off by the fact it looks like a nail polish bottle, you'll soon be addicted to the pretty, soft glow it gives your skin. It's easy to apply, long-lasting and makes you look younger, healthier and more awake - it might be all you need in fact! Because it's liquid, it's easy to control the amount you use and you can add as much or as little as you like. Use it on your brow bone to give your eye a major lift, and the tops of your cheekbones - you'll be tempted to mug like Zoolander!

Not only does this shimmery stuff give your skin a luscious glow, but it also lasts forever, as does Benetint. Seriously, that's why Benefit stuff is so cost-effective. Plus, um, it works. Which is really the only reason you need.

This is great to highlight cheek bones after you have applied the rest of your makeup. Just apply with a light hand or you risk looking as if you're ready for halloween. I also sometimes mix it in the palm of my hand with my regular foundation. It give a subdued all over healthy GLOW

I use this just underneath my eyebrows, above the eyelid area. I had my makeup done at the Benefit counter once, and it just looked really cool. You can also put some right down the center of your nose, and it makes your nose seem narrower because all the light hits the High Beam and sort of defects how wide(!?) your nose is. I use the pretty much every single day.

Benefit Makeup artist Robyn put Benefit's High Beam on my cheeks almost right up against the out corner of my eyes to as part of the "give Sarah's flat Mongoloid face some definition" technique. Though it's meant to be worn all over the face to add a subtle sheen, using it as a highlighter adds shimmer without making you look like you dipped your face in an arts and crafts glitter box.
