Ah, Brookstone. Purveyors of cheaply made chinese goods, gussied up in nice shells and displayed perfectly in their stores for impulse buys and to generate 'I NEED that...and THAT!' thoughts.
But I give them a hard time. Some of their stuff is quite good (and they sell many other brands products). The Twist light is one of those good things, perfect for emergencies. Twist the compact end of the flashlight back and forth for about 30 seconds to generate 5 minutes of a bright, 3 LED white light. Nice, silky feel and the twister is made of solid-grip rubber. Comes in blue, red and silver.
My only con is the price - $25. But it should last and may prove invaluable in an emergency.
