In eighth grade, my English and Social Studies teachers split us into small groups and tasked us with preparing an essay and skit about a given era of American history. Lucky me, the dancer wanna-be, we were assigned the Jazz Age. And so began my fascination with all things flapper, Art Deco and Chicago. If you know someone who loves the town or the era or both, they will appreciate the unique glimpse this tome provides into a popular magazine plucked from the archives and given a 400-page, illustrated tribute. Good gifting (and all that jazz.)
