Yes, you have to have a Nintendo Wii to play this. If your kid doesn't already have one of those, it should be first on your list of present to buy them.

This is the classic Guitar Hero game, but expanded as the world tour.

Bought this for our nephews and by doing so, saved Christmas! Seriously, I'd never seen children so happy, it rivaled the Nintendo 64 Kid meme. We've had the Xbox version for a while, and it's pretty awesome. The new drums just really take it to another level with the improved pads and cymbals. Songs are fun and I always preferred Guitar Hero's guitar note interface over Rock Band's.
