Fun to put together... and take apart and put together again every time someone admires them on my desk and asks what they are and how they work. The sound is so so but, really, their coolness overwhelms the fact that they're not Bose-eque. Also, if you're like me and drop things a lot, these are your speakers. There's nothing to break when I (repeatedly) accidentally shove them off my desk.

Lightweight, collapsible speakers that you can carry with you and fold away when they are not in use. Plug them into the headphone socket of your personal sterio to enjoy the sound out loud.

Nice, maybe they will let me sneak these in on the next airplane trip I go on, they never seem to be cool with me bringing 250 W JBL's for some reason...

Audio purists will snicker at these tiny speakers housed in a material so unstable as cardboard, but this set speaks to the clever simplicity of Muji Design.

Now these aren't the best sounding speakers. But the fact that they can be folded and carried anywhere is a huge plus. Treble sounds good enough.

Very DIY, but not in a really taxing way. All you have to do is make a few folds and voila, iPod speakers.

Music was meant to be shared. So share your music with everyone on your commute. These portable speakers are a perfect partner with your ipod. When you're all done unfold them and stash it in your bag. Yup, they're collapsible as well. Its a nifty gifty.

What a waste. Why buy recyclable junky speakers when you could buy high quality speakers that will be good enough you'll want to keep them and not recycle them in the first place?
And really, $30-40 for these? You can get these low-quality drivers (or comparably low-quality drivers) for free on the internet at pui.com, and find enough cardboard around your house to make the speaker enclosures for free too.
P.S. Having the speakers be "Bose-esque" would be a bad thing, not a good thing. Bose is overpriced junk; their marketing department just makes you think they're good quality.
