We used to just throw our used batteries in a gallon baggie until we got around to recycling them. I found this at Giant Robot and its a much more attractive solution.

Eco-friendliness doesn't have to be ugly! Or something like that.

Disposable batteries contain bases, acids and other nasties that shouldn't be thrown out with the household trash. But where to keep the empties till you can get rid of them safely?

A drawer? heavens, no.

Monkey Business Design offers their aptly named Battery Box. It stores your used batteries in a trendy, oversized 'battery' - so you'll know what's in it at a glance. Comes in three colors. About $11.
