It's been more than five years. We've had some very memorable moments. I enjoy our lovely picnics at Golden Gate Park, canoeing at the Palace of Fine Arts, and canoodling at night in Twin Peaks. Despite all of that, you are San Francisco's best gift to me. It pains me, but we've also had some tough times, and I admit that I made the mistake of rendezvousing with Milk Chocolate with Caramel Filling, Dark Chocolate with Raspberry Filling, and Milk Chocolate with Caramelized Almonds. I don't mean to rehash these past issues, but I would just like to let you know that you've always been number one in my heart (and mouth).

I feel your corners and your surface with my lips. I breathe in that wonderful aroma as I take you in my mouth. It's magical the way you melt gradually and softly with that semi-bitter taste. Then you slowly slide down my throat ever so carefully. You're so dark and smooth, just the way I like it. I look forward to tasting you again tonight.

Ghirardelli is the finest grocery store chocolate, bar none. The fancier and more expensive brands such as Callebaut, Valrhona and Scharffen Berger are hard to beat, but Ghirardelli gives them a run for their money and at a much more reasonable price.
