The bidding on Ebay is still at zero, which is unfortunate for Paul Mawhinney, owner of the 3 million vinyls and 300,000 CDs. Maybe it's still too early. Forced by the wife to sell, Mawhinney's impressive 50-year collection includes rare and out-of-print titles, all varieties of American music from classical to hip-hop. (via wired)

As a fellow record collector, I can see how painful it may be to part with a collection. $3mil is a little outrageous though. He should just donate it and write it off.
