The Snake Plant can live almost anywhere. It does fine in colder parts of the home like an entry and it likes to dry out between waterings. Even better, it actually LIKES to be rootbound (where all the roots grow together into a thick mass) so you don't need to re-pot it often.

In the South I've always heard this plant referred to as "Mother-in-Law's Tongue" because no matter how much you ignore it you can't kill it.
